French Doors

Yeah I am making great progress on the French doors. They have been made and now they have been hung and even swing nicely. I do however, need to do a little adjustment so they close nicely… This is basically a bit of sanding and other minor adjustments. I would like to thank Hayden for his help.

Over all the bar or “Man Cave” is slowly coming along. Now with the French doors “sort of” in place it changes the whole dynamics of the bar area especially when they are closed.

It is one of those “Man Cave” area’s where I had to actually build the cave first, and then decorate the cave. As some of you may not know it is under another deck, and was originally slopping ground. First we had to even the ground out and put in the patio, then build the frame in the walls and stop the leaking from the upper deck coming through,  I have to admit here I still have a few issues to work through with water on the path but I believe I have the ceiling side under control. Not to mention that we required an whole new deck to be added.

So to look at it now you would not recognise it at all. We even now find it hard to believe as to what it use to be. Over all I am surprised how far it has come along in a short period of time, considering we have only been here for three years.

So over all I am happy where I am at with it all. This is all done in spare time, spare money, when the weather is good and if I can be bothered to do it at that time…   But when it is finished it will be a fun area to socialise and even to relax in.
