Yes I know it is early for an ANZAC Day project … for those that don’t know ANZAC Day is 25th April basically 3 months away. However I I am usually rush rush rush last moment to get the project out, film it, then edit the video and upload to YouTube. However even though I am early the video will b released on ANZAC Day as normal. (gives me time to edit the video.)

The quilt is made by Xaria who gave it to our friend. He is ex-army. I have framed it with Purple Heart and I have purposely left it with imperfections and represents the wounded solider… and as it says on the small plaque;

“Lest We Forget
The battered look of the frame represents the wounded solider. He may look good from a distance but the scars are still there.”

The backing or mounting of the quilt is a recycled bit of MDF from his kitchen. just adding in that little bit more to the story of the whole wall mounting display. I made a couple of picture turn button accessories our of a few small screws and some washers.
