Work Bench No.2

First off, bench 3 you are asking what happened to number two, well I stole that from the bathroom, an old vanity unit, ripped the top off it and replaced with two sheets of MDF and became a pretty decent bench. You can see it in the first photo being used as the out feed table and is the bench use to assemble parts of the new bench.

This new bench is the same height and can also be used as a out feed if I am doing a wider cut, limitations with a house pile.

First cut x4 1100mm x 100mm x 20mm
x4 500mm x 100mm x 20mm
x4 875mm 125mm x 125mm

Rippng down all lengths to final width of 100mm
Add a bit of 1220 x 600 x 18mm ply to the top… ‘villa’ a work bench… but it is not finished yet.
Stand on all fours… man that is stable…
With the 1100mm lengths joint ensure flush and square. flip over and repeat.
Yah, you now have 4 lumps of wood joined. Now repeat with the other legs and end
Double check for square and flush and screw in other side.
The 2 500mm lengths one at the top joining two of the legs. and one 200mm up from the bottom. Check for square screw in.

Some how got to attach the old vice , and a new wood working vice as well as lower shelf, also add a few dog holes. I am also going to put a couple of big arse screws in to ensure the supports are going no where.
To get this far it took about 1 hour and about $60 for the 125mm x 125mm piles.
