Duties

  • Serving and dealing with customers, in person, via phone and or email, to match the product to what they are after or require etc.
  • Ordering parts or products for customers.
  • Matching key and cutting a duplicate.
  • General store duties, keeping shelves stocked and keeping tidy/uniformed.
  • Setting up of various displays.Including assembly of various products as display, ie; Lawnmowers, Line Trimmers and Brush Cutters etc
  • Using PacSoft software, locating, tracking items in the store (over 60,000 products) via computer and linked hand held device;
    • Scanning, checking price.
    • How many in stock.
    • Where located.
    • Last receipted.
    • Bulk printing labels and tickets.
    • Locate and de-locate product /stock when required.
    • linking (and unlinking) digital price tags when required)
  • Reporting possible stolen and damaged goods for stock adjustment.
  • Drive WAV & JXO machine, hoisting and lowering heavier product from shelves and cupboards. Using pallet trolley safely.
  • Observing all health and safety protocols.

Hobbies


I enjoy most things in life and will give most things ago, and if I enjoy enough I will give it another go. I enjoy computers in general from graphic design video editing and production. I have a passion for making things… from woodworking plastic fabrication, metal work just making stuff with my own hands.

My hobbies include;

  • All forms of music, I play keyboards and write and produce my own music which has been release under CCL.
  • All forms art, drawing, painting, hand sketching, cartoon, computer and graphic design.
  • Videography, video editing, multimedia.
  • Woodworking and making things and DIY.
    • I have started a small growing YouTube channel combining two of my hobbies, making/woodworking and videography.
  • I also have a passion for motorcycling. (Unfortunately y Ducati was stolen in 2023 and I have not replaced it yet)

I have in the last few years been slowly making use of my basement and making a small work shop (with very limited space, mind you). And have many of my own tools.

Duties

  • All aspects of seamanship, usage of hawsers, block and tackles, anchors and cables.
  • Maintenance of ships fittings, rust prevention, paintwork on all surfaces.
  • Helmsman ship, elementary navigation, small boat work, first aid and fire fighting.
  • Radar equipment, track, location, speed. CPA, and time of CPA, classify all contacts and reporting to OOW. Radio communication reporting contacts to fleet, computers DOS programs data entry and retrieval, working with databases.
  • Quartermaster duties, answering phones, public relations, safety and security of vessel. General tidy and cleanliness of ship. Making general broadcasts over ships PA.
  • Working with video equipment and audio recording. As part of ships radio.
  • Regular shift work and overseeing lower ranks duties.

Carpentry First Assessment


Duties

  • All aspects of carpentry.
  • Usage of hand and power tools both air, electric and battery power.
  • Using shop tools, table saw, mitre saw, band saws, planer, thicknesser etc.
  • Mitre & scribing, squotia quad, fitting locks & indicator bolts, mortice, night locks and rim-locks.
  • Construction of steel and wood scaffolding, setting out profiles and plates.
  • Usage of dumpy, cowley, water and spirit levels.
  • Fitting bevel back, fibre cement, weather boards and fitting scribes, setting out story rod.
  • Erecting wall frames, bracing plumbing.

I joined the course when it was already a month in to the course, caught up and passed.
